UCSD Summer offers a variety of programs for all age groups whether you are a parent looking for a non-credit camp for your children or an undergraduate student in need of a credit bearing program. Summer programs include a wide range of experiences including elementary through high school as well as university and beyond.     Advanced Materials Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU)

    Sponsored by the National Science Foundation, the MRSEC REU program provides full-time summer undergraduate research opportunities at the forefront of materials science and engineering. Participants in our collaborative and interdisciplinary program will be fully immersed in the materials research laboratory of one of our >20 MRSEC faculty from 5 departments across campus (Chemistry and Biochemistry, Chemical Engineering, Molecular Biology, NanoEngineering, Physics).

    RIMSE - Summer School for Silicon Nanotechnology (SSSiN) is an intensive, six-week workshop on the synthesis, properties, and applications of porous silicon-based nanomaterials which ends with participants doing an independent research project.

    SD IRACDA Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship Program

    San Diego IRACDA fellows direct a SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) Program for students underrepresented in science. The SURF program is an exciting 8-week research internship for San Diego City College students to work with an IRACDA Postdoctoral fellow on an ongoing research project and participate in weekly professional development workshops led by IRACDA fellows.
